Privacy Policy

WeatherStyle – Style Assistant is our browser extension for Google Chrome, and it is covered by this Privacy Policy. The extension is an optional companion to the mobile app: it signs in with the same WeatherStyle account, reads the colour and body analysis you already saved there, and draws from the same coin wallet.

What the extension reads from the pages you visit

The extension reads a page only when you ask it to — when you click the WeatherStyle badge on a product image, use the WeatherStyle right-click menu, drop or paste a product link into the panel, or when it re-checks a price alert that you created yourself. It then reads only product information:

• Product title, brand, price and currency
• The addresses of the product images
• Material, colour, rating and the store's own product description
• The size chart, when the page provides one
• The address and title of the product page

It does not read anything else. The extension does not read the rest of the page, your form inputs, passwords, payment details or cookies. It does not take screenshots of your screen, it does not record or transmit your browsing history, and it collects nothing at all from pages you simply visit without using it. You can also switch the extension off completely for any individual website from its settings; on those sites it reads nothing.

Photos you provide

For the virtual fitting room you can add a photo of yourself. That photo is kept in your own browser's local extension storage. It is sent to our servers only at the moment you start a try-on, it is used only to generate that image, and it is not stored afterwards. The generated result is saved to your account so that it appears in your history, and you can delete it at any time.

Location

You may optionally set a location in the extension. It is kept at city level only, it is stored in your browser rather than in your account, and it is never written to our database. When it is set, it is included in a style request so that the server can derive a long-term climate profile for that city. The extension does not access your device's GPS or precise location.

Price alerts

If you create a price alert, the extension re-visits only that product page, at most once a day, from your own browser and without sending your cookies. It reads only the price. No alert is ever created automatically, and you can turn price tracking off entirely in the extension settings — while it is off, no such request is made.

Why the extension asks for its permissions

• Access to the websites you visit: to show the WeatherStyle badge on product images, to read the product details described above, and to download the product image so it can be sent for review. Shopping sites cannot be listed in advance, which is why the permission is broad — but it is used only for the purposes listed here.
• Storage: to keep your session, your settings, your photo and your recent selections inside your browser.
• Notifications: to tell you when a try-on image is ready or when a price you are watching has dropped.
• Alarms: to schedule the once-a-day price check.
• Context menus: to add the WeatherStyle entries to your right-click menu.
• Scripting: only to load the extension's own panel into a tab that does not have it yet, for example when you press the keyboard shortcut. No other code is injected into any page.

Where this data goes

Product details and images that you submit for review, and photos you submit for a virtual try-on, are sent to our servers on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore and Cloud Functions, hosted in the European Union) and from there to the AI providers that generate the result: Google (Gemini) and Black Forest Labs (FLUX). These providers act as processors for us; they receive only what is needed to produce your result.

What we never do

• We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, apart from the service providers named above.
• We do not use or transfer your data for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose — helping you decide about a garment while you shop.
• We do not use or transfer your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• We do not use your data for advertising, and the extension contains no advertising, analytics or tracking code.

Removing your data

Signing out of the extension clears the session from your browser. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it kept locally, including your photo, your location and your recent selections. To delete the account itself and everything stored on our servers, use the account deletion process described below — it covers the app and the extension alike.
